Founded in 2021, Helping Hands aims to promote strategies to sustain and promote mental health and wellbeing amongst children from underprivileged communities, emphasizing specifically on the role alternative therapies can play in educational development and psychological health. To aid in building awareness around mental health, this initiative disseminates information about alternative therapies like music therapy, art therapy, pet therapy, dance therapy, etc. The project's purpose is to contribute to children's mental well-being and educational development by facilitating alternative forms of therapy that are often undervalued within the public discourse. Now is the time to make it more prominent in our context!

Through a multi-faceted approach which includes a handbook, workshops, and therapy sessions, Helping Hands project aims to raise awareness about the importance of alternative therapies for educational development and psychological health for young children. As part of the project, a series of workshops will be conducted with students at the HAQ NGO in Delhi to promote alternative therapies as a way of improving mental wellbeing and encouraging resilience, creative expression, and even physical health.
